Stephanie was born in Boston, MA and began dancing flamenco at the age of 7. At only 8 years old, she made her debut performing in the Boston performance "Fiesta Flamenca Navideña", produced by the Ramon de los Reyes Spanish Dance Theatre.
During her high school years she performed as soloist and lead dancer in Omayra Amaya's Flamenco Sin Limites II Dance Company, as well as with a Boston based family troupe El Arte Flamenco. During her senior year she accompanied Isaac de Los Reyes in Boston.
She continued her studies in Boston and New York City with artists such as Omayra Amaya, La Conja, and La Meira; in Madrid with world renowned artists such as Farruquito, Domingo Ortega, and Manuel Reyes; and most recently in Sevilla with El Torombo and Soraya Clavijo.
In 2000 she began studying at the College of Arts and Sciences at NYU while continuing to perform with a number of different groups as both a solo dancer and cajon player at many venues in New York and Boston. She graduated in May of 2004 with a B.A in Romance Languages: Spanish and French.
Since then, Stephanie has been dancing and performing at various tablaos and theatres across the US, from Boston, New York City, and throughout the east coast, to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz. She has performed with the Philadelphia based troupe Pasión y Arte at the Nuyorican Poets Café as well as the "Learning on Stage" tour throughout the East Coast. She has also performed as part of Carlota Santana’s "Flamenco Vivo" at the Lincoln Center. Stephanie's most recent performances have been in the wonderful city of San Francisco, California.
